Tara has been with Bunn Insurance since 2004, prior to that she spent one year at GEICO for a total of 15 years in the industry. Initially writing and servicing all lines of business, she transitioned to focusing on commercial insurance in 2008 and thoroughly enjoys the challenges that come with the commercial world. Born in Great Lakes, IL she moved to Virginia Beach in 1984 after the Navy transferred her family here and has spent the majority of her life in Virginia Beach. She was an Ocean Lakes Dolphin and in the first full graduating class since the school was newly built in 1995. She spent a few years at Old Dominion University but ultimately chose to move into the insurance field in 2003 and hasn’t looked back.  She received her Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLSC) certification from National Underwriting Training & Education in 2018. When she isn’t providing the best commercial service around, she enjoys spending time with her husband Jimmy and son Gavin, and takes her dog Luna everywhere with her if she can.
